Ajuga ‘Tropical Toucan’ Bugleweed

Even among its colorful Ajuga brethren, ‘Tropical Toucan’ stands out with large, golden leaves that spread into a beautifully shining groundcover. It stays short and spreads quickly. Also known as “bugleweed,” Ajuga ‘Tropical Toucan’ sports complementary blue flower spikes in late spring that attract pollinators.

‘Tropical Toucan’ is part of the Feathered Friends™ series of Ajuga. It prefers full to part shade and average moisture. It is adaptable to many soil types, but it performs best in well-draining soil. Plant ‘Tropical Toucan’ bugleweed under shrubs and along the edges of borders for a bright spot of color.
